America's roads are awful!!

I'm seriously thinking about giving up RVing due to our Nation's lousy roads. Tired of being bounced around for miles on end. I'm beat after traveling 200 miles in 4 1/2 hours on terrible roads. Primarily in the Midwest. It's just no fun anymore. Anyone else feeling this way?

  • The roads may be awful but the free cell phones, and other things, are just fine.
Pennsylvania has the highest gas tax but, our roads are not any better.

Not me. NC already has the highest gas tax any where around. We do have good roads though.
  • All I can say is that NC, SC, and Tenn have good roads for the most part. We just did Home to Kitty Hawk. 380 miles in 6 1/2 hours. were not bounced around, except on the bridge going on to the island. Kind of galloping on the bridge.

  • I agree Midwest roads are terrible, and driving on them is very very tiring.

Come to Tennessee, we have really good roads. Most of the southeast has decent roads. Even the farther northwest/cold states (Dakotas, Wyoming, Montana) have good roads compared to the Midwest.
