Hmmm .... I wonder if the ones that put it out wanted it to be:
1. Never found,
2. or found, but not paid much attention to,
3. or found, and paid so much attention to that the hordes going out to see it would set attendance records.
Usually "artists" are attention seekers regarding their handiwork - so I vote for Number 3. :R
By the way - my laptop's Google Earth Pro software doesn't have quite high enough ulltimate zoom-in resolution so as to actually identify the monolith as something that doesn't belong there in the desert, per se. So how did folks locate and identify it when sitting in front of a computer screen? :S
