His tires are only 1.5" taller than stock, only half of which raises the truck, and and the leveling kit is up front so really he's not much higher than a stock truck overall. Still might need to lift the trailer some as many do with the newer HD trucks.
Hitch wise I'd go Andersen. I like mine better than any fifth wheel hitch I've used. It has the advantages of a gooseneck setup (smooth, articulates well, idiot proof hitching) without the leverage disadvantage of a gooseneck adapter.
I see that you have the same truck. Do you have a leveling kit or bigger tires? How do you have the Andersen configured on your truck and trailer? My bed rail height is 59" and I believe the new 5th wheel already has the springs over the axles.
Thanks for everyone's input. I think bed rail clearance is my biggest concern now
