I think we've purchased everything we've ever wanted, and already have "it". However, our first trip of the year was the first week in March. So our "preparations" came early this year. In preparation, I figured a new way to haul a step ladder in my truck bed, instead of laying it on the floor. I bought 2 bungie cords and now can suspend it from the inside of the side panel storage boxes on the shell inside the truck. The ladder is now off the floor and give me more bed space. I can also just keep the ladder there and don't have to take it out, even if not camping. I'm just leaving it there now. So my "big" pre-camping season purchase was 2 bungie cords! I have an 8 foot truck bed, and that's a 7 foot ladder.
