Just because you never did it or never saw it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.
I perfectly understand that no dealer WILLINGLY ACCEPTS liability for a missing consignment unit. That does not automatically mean that he won't BE legally liable if the owner pushes it.
The facts of each individual case are important.
It remains possible that the dealer actually disposed of the RV himself and claimed it was stolen. That happens with Bank Deposit Bags almost every day of the year......but in that case an investigation occurs and the guilty "night manager" usually is found out.
