It's a huge, huge differential, but I guess that agricultural use is automatically sacrosanct as compared to any other use. FWIW, the last time I checked the case was that without water you die much faster than you do without food.
Well the water I reduce in my daily life that goes to an agriculture business that provides over 50% of fruits & nuts for the nation, as well as 25% of the nation's vegetables.

If I have to stop watering my lawn and reduce my showers to 3 minutes every other day, then I'd rather see the balance go towards feeding the nation than towards RV Joe & Susie's daily showers and improved gas mileage.
