If I have to stop watering my lawn and reduce my showers to 3 minutes every other day, then I'd rather see the balance go towards feeding the nation than towards RV Joe & Susie's daily showers and improved gas mileage.
Sorry ... but I have to respectfully disagree.
Why should CA water be given at great acre-foot rates to CA farmers to raise stuff at a profit to our farmers? I'll bet our farmer's homes have green lawns and their showers are long.
Why should other states get our water in the form of food stuffs that those other states get the benefits from? Do the other states reciprocate by giving us their water to raise that food stuff with? I'll bet folks in the others states have green lawns and their showers are long.
I'm talking beyond "RV water use" here - which is merely a subset of sacrifices we are making here in CA so vast amounts of our water can be used to the benefit of folks in other states - when many of them have plenty of water we never see here.
