One acre ft equals about 325,851 gallons. So at close to $2000 per acre ft, farmers are getting around 1.3 gallons per penny ... way cheaper than I had to pay for it this past summer to do some cooking, some shower taking, and some clothes washing at our residence.
CA farmers are getting a deal on whatever water they can get.
By the way #1, I also paid my price for water to fill my RV tank before leaving home on a trip this past summer.
By the way #2, if I could pay for convenient water from a faucet at a campground to refill our RV tanks I'd pay for it what I pay for it at home. But ... I sure can't get those rubber water thiefs to work without some kind of hose clamps on them. Who invented the selling of water thiefs without hose clamps, anyway??
