Weapons in the RV would not have helped her.. More dryers in the campground laundry would have (only one should not be allowed, 3 is the minimumn, and 3 washers as well).

Just when I thought it couldn't get any more ridiculous- turns out it's the campground's fault for not having enough dryers! - wa8yxmExplorer IIIWeapons in the RV would not have helped her.. Of course this kind of thing could happen in any laundromat, Not necessarly a campground.
The problem, No matter if the accused did it or not, is the lack of respect that exists in today's world.. Everyone young and old is all "ME ME ME" and they forget about extending a helping hand.. Instead they extend a clenched fist.
This is simply not right. - westernrvparkowExplorer

Do you really think it is something that should be considered in any other light? Is it a tragedy for the lady? Yes. Is it preventable, avoidable, or otherwise something to worry about? No. Assaults have occurred everywhere, churches, funerals, weddings, birthday parties, family reunions and every other activity known to man. Getting beat up over a dryer at an RV park is an oddity due to location, but the assault in and of itself not noteworthy. It was two people who got into a fight. If not for the ridiculousness of the situation, no one other than the parties involved would give a hoot. So yes, it is only notable because it has a humorous bent to it.
Appears everyone who posted thought it was funny. I bet the lady that got her head bashed in thought it was funny. Must have been funny. :B - dakonthemountaiExplorerThere really is only one answer I can see here. Just go naked all the time. You will never have to worry about washing your cloths in that nasty laundromat or getting your head bashed!

If this story is true, they don't know what happened for sure, but if it is then we shouldn't be scared of campgrounds. This type of anger, if true, could happen anywhere. I hope that this was not a case of dryer rage
somebody trying to justify blacktop boondocking at wally world?

That is what I also thought. Another reason to camp at Walmart for free. The other options are:
1. Sell your RV
2. Camp in your driveway
3. Just continue to have fun and do what we enjoy which is camping. We need to be cautious in everything that we go which is how it has always been.
I have made up my mind and am going camping in two days!!! - lfcjaspExplorerWow, who would have thought! And here I was all nervous at the Crab Fest we went to (near the campground)...lots of HUNGRY people!!!
We've had fist fights (and one involving a sword) at some reenactments, some folks have been bit by snakes, others have gotten really sick from heat combined with the humidity...and we still do those darn reenactments.
Guess I'll just take our dirty laundry down to the river, beach or creek and wash them the historic way (while camping), hang on some lines...and hope I don't get myself hung!!! - FunnyCamperExplorer IIStay away from campgrounds? because of this story?
stretching it way too much. It can happen anywhere. stay away from all raods and highways, might be a crash or road rage. Stay away from your own home, could be a home invasion. schools, churchs and every single place on this earth is a target for anger crimes etc.
come on :) but if I show hubby he might get me a W/D for the toyhauler - peaches_creamExplorerAppears everyone who posted thought it was funny. I bet the lady that got her head bashed in thought it was funny. Must have been funny. :B
