Any actual experience with a Harbor Freight WDH?

Yes I know, Harbor Freight sells cheap Chinese junk. But I can attest that often there is a diamond in that rough :) And the reviews on this hitch are generally positive.

Is there anyone here who's actually used a Harbor Freight WDH for a few thousand miles? Only looking for folks with actual experience with this specific product. Thanks!

Edit: If you do decide to buy this hitch, see this important note.
  • Thanks for asking, I've been wondering myself. I have the anti sway bar from HF but I wanted to get a WDH this Spring from there
  • My son has used one for the last 3 years. I used one for a year. No problems
  • Yes, purchased mine 3 years ago for my 2000, 22' Nomad. Although my TT was considered a "lite" in those days, it comes in at 5,650 lbs loaded.

I also use the HF anti-sway bar. I have had no issues with either product by Haul-Master.

I'm pretty sure you're going to get a lot of negatives on this subject & suggestions to purchase a different brand, but my experience has been positive.
There are many things I won't purchase from HF, but we all know what those items typically are.

PS: I took the hitch to an RV dealer here in town & they installed it for me without hesitation.
