Any and all opinions on tankless water heaters

I am in the process of deciding on installing a tankless unit for all the pro's they represent. But, I also want to get a list of con's. Ofcourse, the manufacturers dont list that on their website. ...

Propane or electric powered?

We have an old propane powered one on the boat but I don't trust it and it is difficult to get the temp dialed in right.

I haven't tried the electric but I have heard they have much more limited heating capability.
