Did they replace the entire backing plate that comes complete with new shoes and magnets or did they just replace the shoes and magnets?
You can get the entire assembly off of etrailer for about the same price as shoes and magnets. I would have gone back to the original setup for the 7K axles as I've had no trouble with the Dexter self adjusting mechanism. Is there any trace of grease on the drums where the magnets stick? Might have to revisit the whole thing. Good luck.
