I have done a lot of research on the street legality of the vehicles. They can be registered in about all the states. Most states are registering as LSV, but some states are registering as dune buggy or mini-truck. If they are registered as LSV then they are limited to 25 -45 mph roads depending upon the state laws. Some people are putting street tires on them and riding them on local roads posted up to 45 - 55 mph without any major issue from law enforcement.
I was interested due to the low weight (1,450 lbs) due to only having a 3500 lbs tow capacity on the motorhome. Since they can't be towed wheels down, I need to either look for something else .... or trailer. Did not want to have hassle of storing trailer at home or on the road.
