Any experience with those metal RV carport companies?

I have two from Carolina Carport. One is 36ft X 24ft x 14ft high. I park my 5th wheel, truck camper, and aluminum boat under it. The other is 15ft x 10ft x 7ft high. That's for my wife's Jeep. I am well satisfied with both the carports and the company. They came when they were scheduled, a three man crew did the work quickly, and the price was exactly as quoted. In fact they made a small mistake in their pricing, and subtracted the difference. I would never have known. I don't know if they are in business in your area, but I'd say it's worth a check.

Yep, pretty much how they work, local marketers/sales, one or two companies nationally providing the material, local contractors come in and install.

My install and purchase went as planned, as well as my brothers.

I found that pricing is pretty standard and not much bargining.

Also that $795 (is a little one for a car), a bigger one length and height for a RV, will be in $2,000 or more range, depending options you go with. (Guage of aluminum, style, side-panels, back panel, etc....)

I have bought 2 from Eagle carports, no problems.

Mine came from Carolina Carports and they came when they said they would but one of the workers dropped a side panel and bent it. I called them and they sent a crew the next week and replaced it. Mine is fully enclosed. They did not have a door as large as I wanted so I had a local metal place build and install a 12' x 15' door for the front of it.....As we are having a tropical storm right now I am glad the rain and debris blowing around will not end up inside or on my 5th wheel...

Had a local garden place that represented a manufacturer that was 300 miles away. They sent a crew with 3-4 covers to be installed locally. I had a 24'w x 14' x 34' with additional 6' drop siding in about 3 hours. I ordered with maximum bracing that included diagonal bracing at every vertical to the roof and 4 at ground to vertical on each side. Rated for 120 mph. I should have ordered 6' longer. I recommend that you go at least 6' longer than camper. Material is Galvalume with 25 year warranty and don't believe that the standard material is aluminum but it may be available as an option.

With the maximum bracing, I found that most companies will charge about $100/foot. Paid a deposit and final payment after completion. If there are any issues with installation, I suggest you withhold some money as an incentive to come back to complete it. I poured my own slab and had it mounted 6" inside edge to ensure that slab did not crack when they bolted it on. They can install in soil with augers screwed into ground.

It sure is huge once installed. If I had it to do over, I would have had it installed to cover camper and wide enough to open sides and another next to it that was lower to park my truck.

I see you are on Texas. Superior Carport installed mine and is the manufacturer /installer from Victoria. I highly recommend them.

My experience was that after emailing them for info, they spammed me for a couple of years. I got junk mail just about every day and sometimes several times a day.
It turned me off so bad that I never did purchase the product.

I boght one for the camper from tri-state carports. The only problem I had is they have to have several orders in your area before they will install. The installation was quick and professional.

I have two of them , no problems . Mine are steel , I would not by an aluminum one . The aluminum one my brother bought was not tough enough , neighbor hit a golf ball thru it and the bolt holes corroded after two years . Corrosion in aluminum is a problem in the south near salt water .
