After camping at Assategue National Park one August, I came up with a way to mount an 8,000 BTU a/c unit in the rear door opening. With the rear door and screen door open, I set the a/c unit on the floor and cut a piece of styrafoam to fit in the opening. Never tried it while camping, but it seemed to work ok at home.
