Any hints to score a reservation on Recreation.gov

Myself and a couple of family members have been trying unsuccessfully to get a reservation at a popular Forest Service campground in Idaho. We hit the BOOK NOW button the second that reservations open...

I have no problem with the service charge (which is not charged for all campgrounds). I also am very grateful for the ability to make reservations at campgrounds. I don't get enough time off work to be able to take a chance on getting a first come/first serve campsite. Being able to reserve allows me to go camping often.
