Can't really speak to any of your direct questions, But I can tell you Baton Rouge would be a furnace in the summer. Good ole Red Stick probably averages 100 plus with only the 90% humidity keeping it from going higher. Toss in a few dozen severe thunder storms, termites the size of a small SUV and giant mounds of Fire Ants and you have my vision of hell on earth. Oh, and if you are in to the great outdoors, you run a great chance of running into every poisonous snake native to North America. Hence why we vacate Texas for Montana and Wyoming every summer.
