This happened five years ago, and I have never forgotten about it.
We had small children, and I wanted to get involved with our local chapter near our home.
Can you imagine my suprise when I called the home of the president, who lived five blocks from me by the way, and was told: to paraphrase)
"You would not be happy in our chapter, children are NOT welcome"
