As one of the geezers here, we have been to several FMCA Rallies especially when DW was giving Photo Seminars. After a few years we got bored with the International (BIG) Rallies and stopped going. We do go to brand specific rallies and other special interest group rallies when we happen to be planning to be near anyhow. Although we miss having younger folk and children around, it really is a very different kind of "camping".
We live in our coach most time. When we stop in a campground we are more likely to sit and read a book or watch a movie after dinner than to sit around a campfire. The amenities that are so important for families mean little to us. Took our kids and grandkids camping for two weeks this winter in San Antonio, our own mini rally and really enjoyed being with them and yes we were in campground with amenities to keep them out of trouble.
We will be at the Good Sam rally in Syracuse because we are nearby and have agreed to staff a booth for Harvest Host, booth 252 if you want to sit and have a chat.
