Any non-retired people in Highways Mag??

Every time I pick up the latest issue of Highways Magazine, and look at the pictures of events, I don't see any people my age with their children. Looks like everyone is retired and young at heart (well, even nearing 40, I still race shopping carts at the grocery store). Are the events in these magazines not open to us younger folks? By the way, if the only way to be in a picture is to put on a matching vest with patches, sorry, not for me!!!

  • We old folks are part of the largest generation--The baby boomers. You will cater to us and our money. You young whiper snappers will have to wait your turn. LOL
  • I couldn't agree more! When did RVing become about a bunch of old folks????

Once upon a time all the ads featured happy families camping together- now the only time you see anyone under the age of sixty, it's some silver-haired old grandpa's "niece", if you know what I mean.

Somebody's really missing the boat, in my opinion!
  • I totally agree. Even with Trailer LIfe magazine I always feel like the articles skew older. Industry folks need to work harder to attract young RV'ers with families or their going to pay a price one day. Everywhere we camp we see a nice mix of singles, families, and older couples--but this is not represented in the trade magazines.
