Yes, as you know being 84 alone causes a risk, high risk they say. Any underlying health condition only makes it more risky to catch the virus so they say.
The longer you can stay in FL the more time there is for FDA to approve treatments or medicines, so the more likely if you do catch a virus that you are able to be treated early.
Testing is also exploding, so the longer you wait the easier it might be to get tested.
FL likely safer than where you live. Im guessing not in the SE if you are a snow bird.
You can mingle with the virus and not catch it, you have to keep it out of your eyes, nose, mouth etc. Use hand sanitizer, alcohol based, when needed and often.
It will be a hard trip if you plan to bring all your food and sleep in the truck. Thats what college kids do, but not mature adults. Plan around the weather.
