- centerlineExplorerCalifornia is the only state that has a fairly long list of items it wont allow individuals to bring into the state without a permit.. most of the entry points only ask about fruits and vegetables... nor will they allow basic campfire firewood across..
it really depends on the inspector and ones attitude when addressing them that can make the difference of whether they give you a full inspection or not.. usually they just ask, you say no, and go on your way...
other states do have things they dont want brought in, but there is no inspection stations or anyone asking about them.. - azdryheatExplorer

I guess you do not travel out west on I-10. Where I live you must go through a inspection station no matter which direction you go. They take your picture, are armed and use dogs, want to know where you are going and where you were born. - DrewEExplorer II
