For the first 8 hrs use your fridge like big cooler.
Transfer everything from your portable cooler to the fridge. We use frozen water jugs for ice. As many as you have room for. Later you have nice cool drinking water.
Set it up so you don't have to dig around to much to get what you need in the first few hours.
