While I do wear my gloves when at a dump station and hooking up the hose at a full hook up.
I am NOT a germ freak, the worst thing to come along is Anti-bacterial soap and washes.
I try to be clean, washing after the restroom and before cooking, but I am far from anal about it.
I expect my immune system to protect me!! To work correctly it needs to workout, just like a runner or boxer!!! Those of you that are germ a phobics don't get you immune system to work out, so you get sick easily.
I clean, I don't sanitize daily, I very seldom use sanitizing wipes, over use only makes the germ and bacteria that survive that much stronger!!
My DD, SIL, and GD all live on a Organic Dairy Farm, maybe sick once a year at most.
Yes, the actions described in the OP are a bit on the grose side, not all that bad for healthy people.
I never need to rinse my slinky, as I drain the tanks, in the Black, Galley, Grey order, the last tank is nothing but shower and hand washing water!!
