So, any poo on the ground was washed down the drain with clear water.
That sure sounds a lot more sanitary than going in a petting zoo enclosure or even Fido's dog pen. In fact, I've been to New Orleans and can personally testify that it is a LOT more sanitary than most of what I was exposed to just walking down Bourbon street.
I would have rinsed off myself but who knows what the lady did once in the truck? Maybe she used a gallon of sanitizer on her hands and feet????
As far as the hose being dirty, ITS AT A SEWER DUMP STATION! Assume it will ALWAYS be dirty! LOL!

Reading is fundamental, Typhoid Mary, you ought to try it. The OP stated she flushed the tanks several times with gallons of brown liquid pouring onto the ground until it ran clear, all the time standing in it with only flip flops on.
I do agree with you that you can expect these dump stations to be dirty. The future Darwin Award winner schlepping around poop in her flip flops really hammered that point home!
