Just let Natural Selection process work and be on your merry way.
Natural selection is Darwin’s most famous theory; it states that evolutionary change comes through the production of variation in each generation and differential survival of individuals with different combinations of these variable characters. Individuals with characteristics which increase their probability of survival will have more opportunities to reproduce and their offspring will also benefit from the heritable, advantageous character. So over time these variants will spread through the population.
Interesting...
I want to start by saying that it is my practice to wear gloves and try to be neat and tidy at the dump station. Not so much because I am worried about disease but more because it's kinda gross and smelly.
Natural selection is basically survival of the fittest...and when it comes to humans, usually the ones with the strongest immune systems are the fittest. Having a strong immune system does not involve things like spraying door knobs with Lysol, using antibacterial soaps, avoiding people with a cold or flu, or not eating at Taco Bell because some disgruntled teen employee may have spit in your taco.
There are those that claim a strong immune system come from eating vitamins. It's true that vitamins can "help" your immune system but the biggest benefit to your immune system is...
EXPOSURE
The entire antibacterial line of products like hand soaps, dish soaps, sprays, hand sanitizers, and wipes do more harm after extended use than good.
Think about it. Aren't the people that are most often sick the ones that are the most careful and "clean".
Did your parents intentionally expose you to chicken pox when you were a child not only to make you immune but because it's much safer than contracting it as an adult?
What are most vaccines and immunizations...a weaker strain of the actual virus. A version your body is able to fight off and thus develop an immunity to.
Yeah, I wear gloves...the same gloves for many years. Other than the common cold or hang-over, I haven't been sick in almost 30 years. I'm not a disgusting pig but nor do I go out of my way to avoid germs.
Spraying out a black tank all over the ground is inconsiderate to others that use the dump station I agree. Natural selection however will most likely favor the lady standing in sewage wearing flip-flops.
