We've gone down the Bright Angel Trail and that was enough for us. :)
If you're conditioned for it my only concern is your timing. At that time of year it will be extremely hot - like 100+. Best of luck if you do it!
Appreciate your input. Yes we are familiar with the NPS website. Regarding weather, we have seen it over 100F on the lower canyon in May and. have backpacked with no issues but you must be prepared and of course very familiar with this type of recreation.
