Yup.
I've been turned down for reservations. I have a 1987 TT. Typical tan color with brown and red stripes. Not horrible looking. Just looks 80s.
What I've been told by most is that they have a general 10 year rule, but the manager could inspect it and allow it. Of course, if he says no, now you lose your deposit and have to find a new place. So I won't even try it.
Now, I call ahead and make sure there's no age restrictions. Just did this for my summer vacation reservation. Called about 12 places in Oregon and Washington and none had ever heard of age restrictions.
I've never come across it in Ca either (yet). So far, only Nevada and Arizona
