Camping is not what you got it's about having fun with family, friends, meeting people making new friends.
Well my parents swore I was conceived in a tent.:) so I been camping my whole life, portaging and canoeing in Canada, even camping across Europe with my mother in a VW. Both in the equipage of the campgrounds and the rigs people are bringing in and living in have gotten pricier over the years.. I think the whole "no tents and 55+ only" is aimed at appealing to a certain "caste" of RVers rather than campers. Certainly people with a lot of money can afford to buy a nice vacation condo but prefer their own big motor homes. I dont how many of those with higher end rigs actually care one way or another. I have met so few jerks in my lifetime of camping that it would seem to be easier to just kick them out rather than work up an elaborate set of rules to exclude them which would also exclude those in love with vintage or like me who just personally like old things.
