This thing has been in the wild for weeks while the ostriches still had their heads stuck in the sand. When exposure goes to 50% and 3.4% of those will die, will that get your attention?
Why do you think you are going to get it? there are over 334 million people in the US. What makes you so sure that you will be part of the .0001 percent that will get it????
And over 80% of the ones that do get it recover with out any medical treatment. Man don't panic. Stop watching CNN. live your life. You are in no more danger than you were in December
Having said that, I'm living my life (but I'm staying away from large crowds and washing my hands a lot more).
You are correct on the under reporting but, what is under reported are the number of cases. Not the number of deaths. Once somebody gets critical from flue like symptoms they will request the test for the Corona virus. If people have mild flue like symptom they do not get one of the limited numbers of tests and it is assumed to be the regular flu. Hence the inflated 3.4% death rate. As this goes on and testing becomes more available, that death rate will drop drastically.
