We saw the results of someone cutting a limb off of a tree at Pine View campground (USFS) in northern Az. They were handed a citation for $500. and told to vacate the site without any refund of their camping fees.
The perpetrator had received the same flier everyone else had, stating " No cutting of trees and no gathering of wood within the campground."
I think camping in a USFS site VS KOA campground are two completley different things. If I can't fit in a site because of low limbs / foilage in a USFS then that's OK because I am in the forrest. NOW, If I can't get into a site at a KOA because the grounds were not / are not being maintained properly then that is an entirely different situation.
I've seen a reoccuring theme here and that is KOA campgrounds seem to be the least maintained when it comes to tree limps scraping the sides of our campers. It's happened to me at the local KOA.
