No different than me reserving a table at a restaurant and the waiter sitting me down at a table where a plant's vines hangs down to my seat and I can't sit down or it's in my face all the time.
You're right- it's exactly the same thing, with exactly the same choice of remedies: Put up with it, ask for the vine to be trimmed, ask for a different table, or leave.
Whipping out the handy dandy pocketknife and sawing away at the vine is not an option.
Oh, but it is an option to some... Like I said, it is the responsibility of the owner/manager to keep the site adequate, otherwise, don't complain about people doing something about it... management can't control what other people do, but they CAN control their own environment so people wouldn't have a need or idea to exercise that option. If I'm at that same restaurant, and have told the waiter or manager about it, and nothing gets done, you bet I'm going to move that plant out of my way somehow. Which again, would be altogether avoided if the mgmt is responsible enough to keep the area clear.
