Sometimes our dreams, don't end up matching reality. Nothing wrong with that. It happens. Do what is in your heart. If you want to hang with the grandkids then do that. Or take more shorter trips with a grandkid or two, that might work. It does for us.
DW and I have zero interest in full timing. Others do and that is great.
Perfect day for us is a long bike ride with the GD. Maybe a BBQ at home and a few beers. We have been to most of the US and a good deal of Europe, long periods of travel just don't excite us all that much.
