When I was a kid I had two grandmas (no grandfathers they had already passed by the time I was born). Each of my grandmas had lots of kids (in the teens for both of them) (I have approximately 50 aunts and uncles, which includes aunts and uncles by marriage). Each of my grandmas had about 30 or 40 grandkids. I can assure you they did not attend every function their grandkids ever appeared in. I still loved and cherished my grandmas even though neither one of them ever came to one function I was in; ever. Time I spent with her was great, and full of special memories, even though I probably shared every minute with either one of them with a sibling or another cousin or 4.
Point being, love and memories is not based upon attendance at the soccer games, or quantity of time.
