Yes, received one as a gift. I think it could have actually had value for some people.
But I have never been much of a GPS type person, or even a cell phone person for that matter. We had this early device but never once used it.
I am on my second Garmin. I used my new Garmin twice in the year I have had it.
My son just got a new smart phone, and he was able to download the ability to use the phone as a GPS device for free. It uses the same data base that Garmin and Tom Tom use.
I would think in a couple of years the "modern day" GPS units will become ALMOST obsolete. They will be replaced by the smart phones, the same way laptops are largely being replaced by tablets.
