Yeah, I remember those! I had one for each of several different states in the West. They were often free way back when.
I would like to find one for Montana, from about 1950 or so. I would like to compare the route of U.S. Hwy 10 with the route of Interstate 90. In some areas it is the same, but not always.
that type of route comparison can't be done with a GPS.
I still have those too. along with a nice big USA map book with the various states. nice backup to have to verify the GPS directions! the other good maps are the DeLorme Atlas and Gazetteers of the various states.
