I remembered to check the frig in the Soouthwind today. I had left a pint of home-canned peaches in there. Frozen solid. there was also about a third of a bottle of Georgia wine in there. Yup, it also was frozen solid.
I wonder, those who insist anti-freeze is the ONLY way to go, how much of the stuff do you use to winterize your underground sprinkler system?
I'm just simple folk so I don't have an underground sprinkler system. But I do have a bypass on my water pump so I don't need 6 gallons in the water tank. And it flushes out pretty simple in the spring cause them are pretty small lines to flush. Actually, I just sanitize and flush all at the same time and it's one and done.
I don't know why people can't be more tolerant. If you like one particular way, that's fine, if someone else likes a different way that's fine also. But we all don't need to be so smug and critical of one another.
