I really can't understand how anyone thinks blowing it out is easier than a/f though as long as you have the bypasses installed. I'm done with a/f before I even have my compressor filled with air. I've never had an issue getting it out either and have never tasted it.
Pink in the sink is done by all to keep the P trap from freezing. Really not easier to blow, DW doesn't like the after taste of the Pink Stuff. That and one of our favorite winter State Parks is not full hookup, so you have the issues of flushing the lines!
I also like having no after taste of the pink stuff.
