Anyone have damage from blow-only winterizing?

We all have our favorite method of winterization. Some blow with compressed air, some use antifreeze, some do both. I've always done both. But I'd like to simplify and use compressed air only. So I...

when I diluted old antifreeze 2/3 with 1/3 water it just turned slushy in my freezer.
