Anyone regret full-timing?

Like the title says, have any of you regretted leaving your old lives and fulltiming in an rv? Just about everything I've read people say they actually regret NOT full-timing sooner! I was just curious if some of yall have felt the opposite and for what reason?

  • We fulltimed for three years. My wife would go back to that lifestyle tomorrow. However we both seem to like living in the country in a s & b. When we moved here to TN from MN this year no way were we interested in a suburb or subdivision. The fulltiming experience permanently made us country folk. To answer the OP's question, no regrets here about fulltiming, it permanently changed where and how we live and travel. We might just do it again.
  • We lived about 30 miles south of Los Angeles. We had owned several RVs over the years. After we retired we fulltimed for almost 4 years. We became bored, and confined in the small living quarters. It was good to get out of the congested city area for a few years. We knew we could not live in the city after retirement. We bought a ranch in Wyoming and sold our RV. 12 years later we bought another RV. We travel but not full time. One of the lures to RVing was getting out of the city. Once we moved to rural Wyoming it is like camping every day just sitting on the back porch. Our dog hates RVing because he always has to be on a leash. When we get home from a trip he gets out of the RV and runs and runs until he is exhausted. JMHO. If we couldn't live on the ranch with acres of space and had to live in a congested suburb we would probably be fulltiming again. In the winter I get up early, get some hot coffee, get in my tractor and enjoy pulling my neighbors vehicles out of snow banks so they can get to work. Or plow out their driveways. No charge. Just keeps me busy.
