I've noticed some of our neighbors haven't been using their rigs as often, at the same time I also notice other neighbors just getting the RV bug with their shiny new toys. I guess some lose the zeal to go out, but I suspect it has more to do with time constraints of work and raising a family or illness which are the cases for neighbors on either side of us.
We thought with our kids now in high school and college we wouldn't use the RV as much since they don't frequent our trips as often as in the past, surprisingly we are using our rig just as much going places that are geared more to our mature tastes rather than activities our kids would primarily enjoy. We're in no hurry but in a few years we will get another rig better suited for our lifestyle that won't require bedding a bunch of kids. We have a great time just the DW and I, there's just a whole different pace to our trips now, time to smell the roses and enjoy the fruits of our labor unencumbered.
