Keep in mind that the spyder is 62in wide so the width of the rear door is important and it is 5 ft high. An enclosed trailer gives you protection from the elements and security while towing and at your campsite. These bikes are expensive so take care of it. x2 on the enclosed trailer, although I feel the tandem axle is a bit of overkill. I used to have a 6x12 single axle with electric brakes and its payload was close to 1900 pounds. It towed like a dream behind my motorhome. I can't remember what the door opening was so the 62" wide trike might be a tight fit. If it won't fit than the 7x12 would be necessary and I'm not sure if those are available in a tandem.
