There are a few of us brave souls getting along just fine.
I did have to rebuild my transmission throttle body at 187,000. Clutches are fine.
Your call if that is premature failure.
Only unscheduled repairs have been fuel pump, a few batteries, front wheel bearings, and the alternator on last Summer's trip. I fully expect to drive this combo another 10 years.
Have been on several trips over 3000 miles each and would not hesitate to head for AK if I could get the time off. Been over the Rockies a few times and slowed same as the rest. Been up 9 mile 10% grade in 105+ heat blasting the air conditioner without issue. Have encountered snow on a couple occasions no troubles. Mostly just set the cruise control and glide on down the road.
