2001 Chevrolet 1500 extended cab short bed, 5.3 liter gas, 4 speed automatic, 4x4, don't remember axle ratio.
towing a
1999 Fleetwood Wilderness lite 24' FW GVWR around 7000 lbs.
Unfortunately when I had this I didn't concern myself with getting accurate weights. I carried a generator, 10 gallons of gas and 10 gallons of water in the bed of the truck plus the trailer full of water (@ 40 gallons)90% of the time.
I never had any issues. Plenty of power to handle grades and stopped just fine. Had multiple trips from CA to TX on I10 as well as I40 and trips up to Oregon on 101 and the I5. Only reason for changing was the DW bought a 40' TH FW and I was pretty certain the 1500 wouldn't handle it:(
