Discovery, I believe the rear axle is either a 3.73 or 4.10. I think that was what was available in '01 with the 4x4's.
Thomas, As far as I know, the GM 5.3/6spd combo had at most a 3.42 rear, not a 3.73 (unless you changed it!). Only the Max Tow trucks had the 3.73. May have been a better experience with the 3.73! But still a great post!
