Anyone use a laser measure to measure height or clearance?

lasers arent always accurate unless you spend $$$$ on them. the one I have for $50 wont do anything that is slightly rough like a popcorn ceiling or not parallel to the surface you are measuring from. tree branches are a no go. youd be better of with an inexpensive extension pole used for painting marked for your height.
