Anyone use "Superclean" on a TPO roof or fiberglass sides?

I have used a product called Superclean on my sticks & bricks gutters, fascia, siding and walkways. It is a fantastic cleaner/degreaser. Comes in a purple container, available at Walmart, Pep-Boys etc.

I am wondering if anyone has cleaned their RV or rubber/vinyl roof with this product. The bottle says it is good for awnings, vinyl, plastic and fiberglass if mixed 8 to 1.

Before I try this product on my roof and sides I am wondering if others have any experience with it. I don't want to damage to roof membrane or fade my decals.

  • I've used it on my TT. Wouldn't use it on the roof tho. I'm thinking spray nine or diluting the superclean this year. I suspect the superclean may help your stickers lift. That said I only have a little lifting on the front sticker so who knows. Superclean will certainly get everything off as you already know. It will also take the numbers of your exterior weight sticker. I suggest diluting according to the label.
  • I use super clean to wash the sides/front of the trailer, works great but has to REALLY be rinsed well, I do a small section at a time and rinse. Works great on the wheels and tires but I never wash the roof with it.
  • Look at the ingredients. Does it contain petroleum distilates? (Hint - yes it does) If so, don't use on rubber roofs. This product is a degreaser - why would you need to degrease a rubber roof? I used it on my high dollar road bike - it etched my aluminum wheels.
