Now I am really praying I can get the mount to work. Yesterday I was peruzing RV stuff on Craigslist and scored a 22,000lb Reese hitch for $150.00 in perfect shape, had to drive 60 miles to get it, but I didn't mind one bit, cheapest I found them was $939.00
Some how, some way, I will get the mount to work on the frame....KMLsquared wrote:jerem0621 wrote:
Personal opinion....I would just buy an Andersen Ultimate Fifth Wheel hitch that adapts the gooseneck hitch in the truck. It takes away the concern of a conventional gooseneck adaptor.
This is your answer!
No it isn't... I already have a gooseneck ball in the bed, and a welded to the frame mount under it.
Friend,
I am not trying to be argumentative, but it sounds like you are misinformed about what we are talking about. There are many solutions to this issue and the Andersen is the cheapest and easiest solution.
Let me explain.
The Ultimate Fifth Wheel Connection comes in two verities, a Rail Mount which connects to industry standard fifth wheel rails and a Gooseneck Mount which is what we are talking about.
Here is the Video for the gooseneck Andersen Hitch.
Its literally, drop it in over your CURRENT gooseneck ball, tighten three bolts to 40 ft lbs and you are done... From delivered to your door to installed in your truck in less than 30 minutes.
Oh, and many people don't trust the design, Here is a crush test video showing just how strong this hitch design is.
Good luck, no matter what you decide. Like I said before, there are many options, this Andersen is just one of them.
Thanks!
Jeremiah
