Aqua Kem question

Just winterized our TT. I drained all the tanks and water lines, and then added the pink RV antifreeze. Then I poured a bottle of Aqua Kem down the toilet. Now I'm wondering if I should flush out the Aqua Kem ? My thinking at the time was it would stop the black tank from getting smelly. I don't think it will hurt the tank , but i'm now wondering if the Aqua Kem will react with the antifreeze.
  • Yep you should be okay. Found this on the internet;

    Aqua Kem will only freeze at temperatures below -17 deg.C and, even after thawing, works just as effectively as before.
  • This was asked a long time ago but I want to clear up something so people won't damage their systems. AquaKem Blue DOES freeze, at the relatively warm temperature of +23F. DON'T leave it in your systems over a cold winter!

    The new AquaMAX which is replacing Aqua-Kem does not have formaldehyde in it.

    Well I hope AquaMAX is an alternative, not a replacement. Because I haven't found anything that works as well as AquaKem - not even close. Haven't tried AquaMAX yet though but the reviews are mostly mediocre.
  • You’ll be fine. The volume is minuscule compared to volume of tank.
  • I stopped using anything 3 years ago after living on a boat where nobody thinks about that because the tanks vent properly. Turns out my RV vents properly too.
