Archeology of a campground

The post about the Found Wedding Ring made me wonder about what an archeological dig of a campground 200 years from now would find. Jewelry, yes but what about other items?

    beer bottles.

And beer cans, bottle/can openers, loose change, faucet washers, small hand tools (shovels, etc.), burnt off ends of campfire wood, empty citronella candle buckets, and a mess of butane lighters that still have fuel in them but they stopped working.........
  • Tent stakes....LOTS of tent stakes. LOL!

I was at Barren river state Campground in KY a while back and saw an old angle style tent stake a tree had grown around. It was solidly embedded in the tree and from the looks of it was probably over 30yrs old. VERY deep into the tree.

    Pretty cool.
